lemons are typically oval or slightly oblong in shape. They usually measure about 2 to 3 inches in diameter.

the skin of a fresh lemon is bright yellow when fully ripe, although some varieties may have a slight greenish tint if they are less ripe.

The outer skin, or rind, is textured with many small pores and is somewhat thick. It contains essential oils that give lemons their characteristic citrus scent.

Inside, lemons are divided into segments (typically 8 to 10), filled with juicy pulp. The pulp is acidic and contains a high concentration of citric acid, which gives lemons their tart flavor. Each segment is enclosed in a thin, clear membrane and contains several small, oval, white seeds.
